About us

We set ourselves a very ambitious goal: building a bank completely from scratch, step by step.

In order to this, we want to build the best team of there, capable of obtaining our banking license upon the French Regulatory Authority in less than 18 months. We are a very young company, so you’ll have the chance to join the project from its inception. You’ll work in a company with still no technical debt (it does not happen often) or internal administrative procedures. You’ll have carte blanche to define with us what our future bank will look like.

Our organisational structure is simple and efficient: those who make product decisions are the same ones who build them. We explain this in more detail in our Playbook.

Our office is located in the heart of Paris, and believe it or not, not far away from the historical headquarters of French traditional banks¹. We are surrounded by all that Paris has to offer: theatres, cinemas, coffee shops, bars and covered passages.

If you live far away from Paris, we are (semi-)remote friendly for some positions: we ask everyone to be on-site at least 3 days per week. We will cover your train tickets.

Accounting Manager

You

You are an accountant and proud to be. No matter the clichés, you are passionate about accounting issues. You know all about the tiny secrets of IFRS standards and charts of accounts (ICNE, IFRS 9, Fair Value Hedge). You know by heart how to design regulatory statements (SURFI, COREP, FINREP).

At the same time, you are being more and more frustrated by the internal accounting system of your bank. The in-house tools you use on a daily basis drive you crazy. In fact, you believe that most the work you have to do manually could be automated. Despite the reporting constraints you have to comply with, you always try to free as much time as possible to try to improve things. You are strongly convinced that something better could be built without tremendous efforts.

Role

You will have three main missions:

  1. First, you will bring your expertise to the rest of the team to design our Core Banking System;
  2. Then, you will have the opportunity to design the ideal accounting organization;
  3. Finally, you will be responsible for desiging and producing our financial statements.

Requirements

  • You have at least 5 years of experience in bank accounting;
  • You have a strong knowledge of regulatory reporting;
  • You know all the different types of bank accounts;
  • You have a clear vision on what an accountant job should be;

Android Engineer

You

You haven’t yet guessed the name of the next version of Android—even if you have a few ideas—but you’re hungry for everything concerning Android and its related subjects.

Role

As our first Android Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing and shipping our app on all Android devices. Role

We’re building together our whole technical infrastructure, piece by piece, starting from scratch. By joining the development team, you will contribute to this ambitious project and will face many technical challenges.

You will be in charge of the development of our Core Banking System, the central block of our technical infrastructure, written in Elixir and Kotlin. You will develop and evolve the transactional banking core and APIs for our web and mobile applications. You will integrate third party systems and will expose APIs for our partners. Tests will be an integral part of your work, and you will be responsible for the code your produce. We iterate rapidly, and deploy our applications several times per day.

Requirements

  • A significant experience in back-end development;
  • Familiarity with development state of the art (tests, code reviews, continuous integration, version management, architecture documentation, etc.);

You

Risk and Compliance Manager

You

Role

As Risk and Compliance Manager, you will be in charge of our banking license application upon the ACPR, the French Regulatory Authority. You will work closely with our law firm, our CFO and the rest of our teams to get our banking license as soon as possible. You will define and develop all the compliance procedures to be implemented in our products and company. You will keep updated with the latest regulatory changes and spread the good word to the rest of the team. This will be a long and difficult project but you are not afraid because you know the game is worth the candle.

Credit Risk Modelling Manager

You

You like statistical laws and assess your chances to get a job through a normal distribution. Juggling probabilities of default, calculating provisions, handling RWA, it’s all you. You know that credit production implies good and bad vintages, and you are here to mitigate this. You are not afraid of regulatory matters, and you actually find some sheer interest in them. As a credit risk modelling manager, you will be in charge of building the credit risk scoring and monitoring model. You will propose the most adapted technical approach and develop a methodology of statistical modelling. You will work closely with the rest of the team to prepare our banking licence application. You will be involved in the definition of credit risk documentation. You will keep up with all the relevant regulatory update and inform the rest of the team.

Expertise

  • You have a solid technical knowledge used in statistics and scoring;
  • You know Basel 3 and IFRS 9 regulations by heart;
  • You have a strong appetence for statistical modelling tools (SAS, R, Python, SPSS, Unix…);
